The difference between how Inkscape and Krita shows vectors is that Krita already rasterize it to the canvas while previewing, while Inkscape rasterize it to the display - so you will never see pixelated edge, because the pixels on the displays are really small (you can, if you use a magnifier or something), but in Krita it's in canvas pixels and you can zoom in (which works like real-life magnifier for Inkscape) and see the pixels being large and see the blurry edge. I'd really really like to use krita for design as well, unless there are any alternatives (preferably free) that work more like illustrator in terms of workflow (I've tried inkscape and didn't really like it too much) Thanks for any help!!Īlso is it possible to get vector to work how it does in apps like illustrator? I use that for logos and posters and usually for typography practice, but I can't stand adobe anymore, only still have it cus I've had a student discount then got a few free months when I was about to cancel, but that ends this month and I can't afford a subscription right now (still have a discount from the first time I was gonna cancel at $20/mo but I still wanna stop using adobe stuff). I'm trying to get into animation and I've been doing graphic design/digital art for a while and was hoping to switch solely to krita so I can cancel my adobe subscription (way overpriced) but I wanna make sure I'm doing it right. I know krita doesn't use vector the way apps like illustrator/inkscape do (at least I think? unless there's a way to make it act like those instead of staying rasterized?) but it can get a bit frustrating when I can't get a clear/solid image no matter what I'm working on or how I'm working. Not sure if I need to go even bigger than that or I'm just doing something wrong? Right now I'm working on a file that's 10"x15" at 350ppi and even the text I'm using looks blurred around the edges. I've been using krita for a while but even with larger canvases and higher resolution things still look blurry and I'm not sure if that's normal and it's just how it's previewed while working on each file BUT even when I export it stays kind of pixelated around the lines/edges. Kind of a dumb question cus I've seen similar topics posted all over, but nothing seems to really fix it.
